Sync Your HRIS Data to Surface

You'll be presented with two options for adding your HRIS data to Surface.

Option A: “Connect HRIS” with Surface HRIS Integration (recommended)

1. Click “Connect” under the “Connect HRIS” option
2. Follow the HRIS integration instructions HERE
3. Once you’ve initiated the initial connection, set up time with the Surface team to review and confirm a successful connection (Schedule HERE)

Option B CSV Upload: 

1. Export your HRIS data as a CSV (note: An Excel file won’t work)
2. In the onboarding flow,* click “Sync HRIS Data”
3. Click “Upload CSV”
4. Follow the prompts on the screen - you’ll be invited to ‘map’ your variables to a standardized set of variables. This allows us to benchmark your data against other organizations.
