How TPI Scoring Works

Each answer is assigned a weighted point value* and those points are added to an assessment's overall score if the answer is “Yes” (or if the answer is selected in a multi-select question). We take the overall importance score from all the affirmative answers and divide the sum by the total possible points (omitting any irrelevant items), resulting in a percentage score. Items are deemed relevant if they are reasonable for your organization. For example, if your organization doesn’t work with patients, we will not ask questions about practices related to patients and will not include those items in the calculation of your scores.
