Upload Documents and Data to Surface

Uploading Documents

You'll want to upload additional documents to Surface in order to receive the most accurate insights. Consider adding documents such as; benefits and policies, company OKRs, values, etc. 

To upload documents:

  1. Navigate to the "Company Context Library"
  2. Click “Upload Documents”
  3. Upload documents as a PDF (note: the number of data and documents you can upload depends on your Surface package. Basic customers can upload up to 3 document and data files, while Expert package customers have no limit)
  4. Manage documents by clicking “Data and Documents” in the bottom left navigation bar. From here, you can view, replace, and remove uploaded documents.

Uploading Data

You may consider uploading additional data to Surface. Specifically, this can include performance and engagement data (we’ll be adding more data options in the future)

To upload additional data:

  1. Navigate to the Company Context Library
  2. Click “Upload Additional Data”
  3. Upload additional data files as a .CSV (Excel files will not work) (note: the number of data and documents you can upload depends on your Surface package. Basic customers can upload up to 3 document and data files, while Expert package customers have no limit)
  4. Manage data uploads by clicking “Data and Documents” in the bottom left navigation bar. From here, you can view, replace, and remove uploaded data files.
