Uploading Additional Data in Surface Using CSV Files
Additional data, such as performance data or sentiment data, can be uploaded in Surface via a .CSV file.
When uploading a .CSV file, each row should represent one individual and each column should represent information about that individual.
For example:
- Employee ID
- MMYY_perf_rating (performance data)
- Response to each survey question (survey data)
- Department or Function
- Country
- Region
- Job level
- Race and/or ethnicity
- Veteran Status

To upload additional data:
- Navigate to the Company Context Library
- Click “Upload Additional Data”
- Upload additional data files as a .CSV file. (Please note: the number of data and documents you can upload depends on your Surface package)
- Manage data uploads by clicking “Data and Documents” in the bottom left navigation bar. From here, you can view, replace, and remove uploaded data files.
