Uploading Additional Data in Surface Using CSV Files

Additional data, such as performance data or sentiment data, can be uploaded in Surface via a .CSV file.

When uploading a .CSV file, each row should represent one individual and each column should represent information about that individual.

For example:

  • Employee ID
  • MMYY_perf_rating (performance data)
  • Response to each survey question (survey data)
  • Department or Function
  • Country
  • Region
  • Job level
  • Race and/or ethnicity
  • Veteran Status

To upload additional data:

  1. Navigate to the Company Context Library
  2. Click “Upload Additional Data”
  3. Upload additional data files as a .CSV file. (Please note: the number of data and documents you can upload depends on your Surface package)
  4. Manage data uploads by clicking “Data and Documents” in the bottom left navigation bar. From here, you can view, replace, and remove uploaded data files.
